At our March 15, 2022 Board Meeting the resolution passed in October was amended as follows:

At the House by the Side of the Road, following the Washtenaw County Health Department March 2, 2022 recommendations, individuals may wear a mask based on preference or risk. Individuals with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. Masking can provide a beneficial layer of protection and is still recommended for individuals at higher risk of severe illness, and for anyone who lives with or has social contact with someone at higher risk of severe illness. Masks should fit well and have multiple layers. Surgical, KN95, or N95 masks provide better protection than cloth masks.

N-95 masks are available for volunteers and clients to use if they wish.
Volunteers and clients should maintain at least a 6-foot distance from each other.

If individuals must be closer than 6 feet they should insure time spent inside that distance is fewer than 15 minutes.
If a volunteer is uncomfortable helping a client check out (or any other action), another volunteer (who is comfortable) or the House Manager, will help with the check-out or other action as needed.

Because the COVID situation in Washtenaw County is fluid, as it is everywhere, you may follow this link to the most current information provided by the Washtenaw County Health Department

Particularly useful is the "Guidance for Businesses, Organizations and Workers" link on their site.

The link: "COVID-19 Community Levels" in "Guidance for Businesses, Organizations and Workers" will take you to a section where you can find specific recommendations for our area by selecting state of Michigan and county of Washtenaw.
